How to access Illawarra Shoalhaven HealthPathways
If you are a health professional in Illawarra Shoalhaven and wish to access the HPWIS website, please contact the HPWIS Team who will provide you with a username and password.
Additionally, if you manage a health business and want open access for all your health professionals please provide your Internet Protocol (I.P.) address. An I.P. address is a unique string of numbers separated by full stops that identifies each computer using the Internet Protocol to communicate over a network.

What is HealthPathways?
HealthPathways is a web-based information portal supporting primary care clinicians to plan patient care through primary, community and secondary health care systems within Illawarra Shoalhaven. It is like a 'care map', so that all members of a health care team – whether they work in a hospital or the community - can be on the same page when it comes to looking after a particular person.
HealthPathways are designed to be used at the point of care, primarily for General Practitioners but is also available to Hospital Specialists, Nurses, Allied Health and other Health Professionals within Illawarra Shoalhaven.

Please note that this site contains two types of pathways:
Localised pathways, for the care and management of patients within the Illawarra Shoalhaven Region, have been developed jointly by local general practitioners, specialists and other health care providers.
Canterbury Initiative (New Zealand) pathways, indicated with an orange background, have been developed jointly by NZ primary and secondary care clinicians for care of people in the Canterbury Region. The information in the Canterbury Initiative pathways have not yet been localised and there is some content that will not be relevant to the local Illawarra Shoalhaven Region.
The pathways are designed for use by all clinicians with an emphasis on primary care. They are not designed for access or use by non-regulated health service providers or patients.
